THE BROWNSBANK INTERNATIONAL OPEN POETRY COMPETITION
Prizes: 1st - £250, 2nd - £100, 3rd - £50 and 10 'commended' prizes
All 13 winners will receive special certificates, selected books and displays of poems in the Biggar poetry Garden and Brownsbank Cottage, with the possibility of both publication and broadcast.
Launch: 9th September 2006 (the anniversary of MacDiarmid's death)
Deadline: 25th January 2007 (Burns' birthday)
